If you’ve worked with me directly, surely you have done a DiSC Profile.  It’s always illuminating and cracks open great conversation. The reason it is so powerful is that it shines the light on our natural motivators and stressors – the preferences and tendencies we have that drive our behavior and, at the end of the day, make it easier to interact with some people more than others.  And when we have this info, and know how to figure it out about other people, we can make adjustments that amplify our effectiveness.

People often ask me to help them find a new job, or to find greater happiness in their current role.

“I saw this ad on LinkedIn and I think I’ll try to apply.”  “There’s a new role being created in my office and I should go for it – because I should go for it.”  “How can I make myself like this job still?  It’s no longer as interesting for me.”

….you packed up your belongings – a coffee mug, some photos, maybe a plant or two – and said your farewells. Unbeknownst to you, nestled in the box were some undesirable stowaways.

It’s been established – I love France. You may wonder, “Why France?” I’ve loved this place forever. Speak French. Traveled all over the country. Lived here for four years when our daughter was very young. And that time overseas set the foundation for our family’s rhythm and way of being – and for me, it feels like a part of my soul.

Last month I made a dream come true. And I get a lot of questions about it. Here’s the Big Dream: live my most authentic professional self-aligned with and including all I love. More specific: Do what I love in a place that I love in a way that feels whole to me.
